How to buy our ice cream cups with logo

By Steffen Andersen · 20. November 2019

When ordering our ice cream cups, there are some different decisions you have to make. In the guide below, I will cover the different options you have, so you can get the ice cream cups you are looking for.

Surface

The first decision to make is to choose what surface you want for your ice cream cups. You can choose between a matte or glossy surface. The glossy surface is great for more vivid and shiny colors which will make your customers notice the print, whereas the matte surface has a more natural feel and look and is even textured so the surface feels rough.

BIO or non-BIO?

The next choice you have to make is whether you want your ice cream cups in a biodegradable version or in a non-biodegradable version.

You have two different options when it comes to the BIO ice cream cups. The first one is a biodegradable version of the standard ice cream cups with matte surface, where the PE-coating is replaced with a PLA-coating that is made with plant-based resources. The second option is our BIO ice cream cups with a water-based coating that is just as reliant as the normal plastic coating. The difference is that the water-based coating is fully compostable and that the paper from the ice cream cup can be recycled with normal paper. Since the water-based coating is not made with plastic, it is made of 100% renewable sources.

Lids

You also have the option to choose lids for your ice cream cups. We have ice cream cups with lids that come in two sizes of 300 ml and 480 ml and are used for freezing down ice cream to sell it in supermarkets and to keep the ice cream or frozen yogurt from spilling. The lids fit for a top diameter of 90 mm, which means the lids can also be bought and used on our paper cups.

Our matte ice cream cups have one option that can have lids on them, which is the 200 ml size. This is because it has a top diameter of 95 mm, which means that our lids for plastic cups fit this size. So you can get transparent lids that are either dome or flat for this size.

Size

The sizes of our ice cream cups depend on what version that you wish to choose. As mentioned in the previous section, our ice cream cups with lids come in the sizes 300 ml and 480 ml. When it comes to our ice cream cups without lids, we have a couple more options.

For the biodegradable ice cream cups with a glossy surface, you can choose between three different sizes. The options we have are 115 ml (4 oz), 180 ml (6 oz), and 220 ml (8 oz).

The matte ice cream cup is available in 5 sizes, so it is also the version that gives you the most options to serve large portions of ice cream. The options we have here are 100 ml (4 oz), 150 ml (6 oz), 200 ml (8 oz), 300 ml (12 oz), and 400 ml (16 oz).

Below I have just outlined what the different sizes are usually used for – but it is worth noting that the sizes from the two different versions have different measurements, so if you are looking for specific measurements, then please have a look at the product details on each of the products.

  • 100ml – This size is primarily for ice cream samples
  • 150ml – Most commonly used for the smallest size of ice cream
  • 200ml – Our most popular size, it is used by companies going to a fair offering larger servings and also used by ice cream cafés that serve medium size ice cream
  • 300ml – It is used mostly as the biggest size for ice cream amongst cafés and also for freshly cut food and slices of fruits.
  • 400ml – This is the largest size and it is mostly used for frozen yogurt, cakes, brownies, etc.
